Location

Dublin (Baile Átha Cliath), the capital and largest city of the Republic of Ireland, is a warm, welcoming, cosmopolitan place.  The most European of the Irish cities, Dublin offers a taste of the Continent as well as of Ireland.  The city prizes its active cultural life and beautifully preserved buildings.  Nearly one-third of the Irish population lives in Dublin, and half of the country's people aged twenty-six and younger live there.  That sense of youth makes Dublin one of the most popular destinations for young people throughout Europe.  Dublin is an excellent starting point for travel, with trains and busses to all major Irish cities, ferries to Wales and the Isle of Man, and flights to all points from Dublin International airport.
