Program Description:

Overview

Heriot-Watt University Malaysia’s purpose-built campus opened to students in Putrajaya in September 2014 and the formal launch took place on 12 February 2015.
The £35m campus sits on 4.8 acres in a stunning lakeside location providing exceptional educational facilities in an excellent environment, close to the Putrajaya marina and its modern leisure and sports facilities. This is a fantastic green area, part of Putrajaya Lake’s ‘green continuum’, and the building design is a conscious reference.

Location

Heriot-Watt University Malaysia's campus is based in the modern garden-city of Putrajaya just 25km south of Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur. Putrajaya is a Heriot Watt Malaysiagrowing, dynamic city and its proximity allows easy access to the extensive cultural, leisure and retail amenities of the buzzing metropolis.

Putrajaya provides a high quality of life in a new, forward-thinking urban centre. It is a great choice of city for students with excellent facilities, modern infrastructure and transport links. As it's based in the Multimedia Corridor, it also benefits from a highly efficient broadband network. It is developing as an attractive centre of learning for both local and international students and a vibrant student population is steadily growing in the city.

Academics

As a visiting student, you can choose a combination of courses from across any of our six academic Schools. A full semester course load is 60 UK credits. Courses are 15 UK credits (4 US credits) each. Explore the course catalogue.

Housing

Off-campus student accommodation options are provided in Cyberjaya about 10-15 minutes drive from Putrajaya. A free shuttle bus operates between the student residences and the campus and there is also easy access to public transportation.

Rooms in D'PulzeSerinShaftsbury and The Arc offer modern and spacious living accommodation. Each residence has a warden who is there to help you settle in and sort out any problems along the way.

Do note however, that rental is exclusive of water, electricity and sewerage (Indah Water) bills, which will be coordinated by Heriot-Watt University Malaysia and billed directly to the students.
