Program Description:



Dublin City University (DCU) was created as the National Institute for Higher Education, Dublin, and enrolled its first students in 1980 and was elevated to university status in 1989. The university has been named as one of the world’s top 50 universities that are under 50 years old, numerous times, by the QS World University Rankings list. The university currently has around 6,000 undergraduate students, over 600 research postgraduates, 1,800 graduate students and over 50,000 alumni.


DCU is a multi-campus university occupying appox 60 hectares just north of Dublin City Centre. Busses run regularly from the campuses to Dublin city center. The length of journey is usually 30-40 minutes.DCU sign


Classes are packaged under five stream headings or programme codes. The study streams / programmes headings to choose from as follows:

For Semester One/fall students, if you select a module with an examination, note that examinations will take place in January and students must be present at DCU to sit the exams.  If you choose to study at DCU in the Fall and don't want to stay in January, you need to ensure that you choose modules which are tested by 100% Continuous Assessment.

Successful applicants will receive detailed information on all housing options in their offer pack.  Please note that on campus accommodation is in high demand so applicants are strongly advised to apply very early to the Study Abroad Programme if they attend applying for on-campus accommodation.
