Program Description:
Applications for Fall 2020 now open.

Apply now to study Public Health in Dubrovnik, Croatia for the Fall 2020 Semester with UMass Amherst professors. Earn a full semester's worth of UMass Amherst credits and use your UMass financial aid all for about the cost of a semester at UMass for in-state students (final budget under review). Priority will go to Public Health majors (juniors and seniors) but the program is open to all majors.

All students will take 4 upper-division (300 or 400 level) Public Health courses taught by UMass Amherst professors. Courses are currently under review and more information will be published at a later date: 

Human Rights, Forced Migration, Health
Global Problems in Environmental Health
Global Perspectives on Women's Health
Final course TBD
CroatiaUMass Amherst students will also have access to a number of cost-included excursions throughout the semester. The following are excursions currently included in the cost of the program:
A number of guest lectures with such professionals as a hospital chaplain, former head of a dementia support NGO, an expert on the history of women's care and health, and more. Students will also have the opportunity to visit academic sites such as a local orphanage and elderly care facility. Cultural activities are also provided, including an excursion to the nearby nation of Bosnia & Herzegovina.
Students may also elect to take part in an optional, all-inclusive excursion to either Prague, Czechia or Budapest, Hungary. Location to be determined at a later date. The total additional cost for this optional excursion is $700.
